At Shekinah life center, our goal is to reach out to everyone in the community and expose them to God's pure living word. We welcome people who are strong in the faith to set solid foundations built on the the word of the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings. we are more likely to be seen helping and loving the downtrodden.

Together we can make a difference...Together we will impact lives in our outreach and give hope for tomorrow as we provide one-on-one biblical support.... food and clothing...and minister the Word of Truth.

We presently are looking for co-sponsored speaking engagements regarding the importance of outreach that creates a biblical model of community.

Some statistics say it is time to stop building Mega churches and begin building life-Centers of Community support by the people for the people.

 

	Shekinah Life Center outreach goals, based upon Isaiah 58: 6-7 = "Feed the Hungry, clothe the Naked

First Priority: Humanitarian Aid is a strong ingredient in this network of community outreach. This plan is to include a soup kitchen, the distribution of food/clothing/ to needy families and a drug/alcohol rehab center. We in-vision in the near future a teaching center for basic community and moral objectives. Therein is the purpose of the Life Center.

(1) The Shekinah Life Center Food Bank development plan is to work in conjunction with other agencies, EG: Gleaners of America" where we can acquire non perishable and produce foods thus enabling Shekinah Life Center to resource other local food pantries, Local growers, American Gleaners of Clackamas, Canned food drives,and trade with other relief agencies to keep us supplied for local needs.

(2) Clothing, vouchers for families needing emergency clothing... An outreach in conjunction with a thrift store will produce a number of full and part time work.

 

(3) As our plans progress with your help, We will have a Soup Kitchen w/Hot meals available daily from 12 noon –2: Pm for seniors and those in need of a hot meal.

The Soup Kitchen will be assisted by Local stores and County food producers by donating produce for the daily meals served.

(4) Auditorium, “Shekinah Life Center”.  A place for meetings, teachings, plays and planned entertainment,Conformable to emergency needs and Services using fold up tables and Chairs

(5) Interim housing, our organization is in the process of Applying for grants for interim / Emergency housing for the immediate future, we can work in conjunction with local hotels during emergencies and as funds are available....

We are just on the outskirts and yet our Clackamas County has nearly 7,500 homeless and nearly 1000+are children.

Friend, We are asking for financial pledges and labor commitments towards the Shekinah Life Center being successful... Individually, none of us can feed the world's 854 million hungry people. However together we can help take of our local community with your help. Reaching across many faith traditions, we can raise our voices together and see that hungry people are fed.

Today we ask you to consider involvement as a contributor in either volunteer time, talent or financial giving. Presently, we are gathering together people of like heart to help steer this important project, in that we are soliciting Quality business professionals for the steering committees and advisory/ planning board in 6 month or longer periods.

We are locating new goods for our Distribution Outreach, If perchance your corporation has any un-sold surplus inventory that We can put to good use, we thank you in advance.

Our requirements for procurement are simple.

We accept usable Clothing, household goods, along with non-perishable food items on an ongoing basis.
If you can assist in the procurement of these or other items that come to mind, let us know.
